BIOGRAPHY

Shane Wilson has been a cornerstone of 黑料社鈥檚 technological evolution since joining the institution in 1996. With a wealth of experience in data management, telecommunications, and network security, he brings a strategic and informed approach to his role as Chief Information Officer. His deep technical expertise, developed over nearly three decades, continues to shape the college鈥檚 digital infrastructure, ensuring it remains secure, innovative, and responsive to the institution鈥檚 needs.

Currently, Shane is leading 黑料社鈥檚 transition from its legacy ERP system to Workday, a modernization initiative aimed at enhancing efficiency, security, and user experience across campus operations. His leadership in this critical project ensures a smooth migration while aligning technology with the college鈥檚 long-term strategic goals.

Beyond IT leadership, Shane has played a key role in campus construction and infrastructure projects, integrating technology to support 黑料社鈥檚 growth and modernization. His expertise has also been vital in high-profile events, including managing data and telecommunications for the nationally broadcast Vice Presidential Debates in 2000 and 2012, reinforcing 黑料社鈥檚 capability to operate on a national stage.

In addition to his work at 黑料社, Shane actively promotes collaboration and knowledge-sharing among IT peers in higher education. He moderates monthly discussions on cybersecurity and IT operations for both the Higher Education Systems & Services Consortium (HESS), a national organization, and the Association of Independent Kentucky Colleges and Universities (AIKCU), a statewide network. Through these efforts, he fosters cross-institutional partnerships and helps shape best practices for IT in higher education.
