Launch your engineering career with ��’s dual-degree program. Complete a degree in math, physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, or environmental studies, then gain an engineering degree from a partner university.

Overview

��’s Dual-Degree Engineering Program combines the depth of your major with specialized training at a top engineering school. You’ll spend three years at �� building strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, then transfer to either Washington University in St. Louis or the University of Kentucky to complete an engineering degree in approximately two years. As a graduate, you will earn two degrees—one from �� and one from the partner institution—positioning you for success in a wide range of engineering careers with a distinct interdisciplinary advantage.

Other engineering options at �� include the engineering major, the engineering studies major, and the engineering minor.

Curriculum

Before transferring, you’ll complete most of the requirements for your �� major, along with all general education classes. You’ll also take additional courses that the partner engineering school requires based on your intended field. A typical set of pre-engineering requirements is two semesters of calculus-based physics with labs, three semesters of calculus and differential equations, and one semester of chemistry with lab.

Experiential Learning

Students engage in hands-on learning experiences and reflection to develop skills and increase knowledge retention.

Engineering students at �� gain hands-on experience through mentored research with faculty and peers. You'll have the opportunity to explore a wide range of STEM interests, including sports analytics, the mathematics of board games, animal development, taxonomy, and more.
